h my goodness. I think I'm going to be in deep $4!&! I need to start writing things down on paper, in my palm. I need to start copying things and keeping originals in another safe spot. ::sigh:: Camp is coming up and I'm feeling the pressure...ooohhhh booyyyy. It's a good thing Pat's on vacation, otherwise I'd be going crazy.

So the other day, I had lunch w/ some guys. Interesting conversation on the way to the restaurant. According to them, I'm high maintenance. Or rather, I'm at a level of "maintenance that [they] can't afford." Their definition of "high maintenance" is very different from mine apparently. Just b/c I like nice things and like to occassionally go to nice restaurants and pay for DECENT food and stuff does not make me high maintenance. High maintenance is someone [in my definition] who is whiny, clingy, expects presents, gifts and things done for them 24/7. Everything is about them, the world revolves around them. Personally, I think I'm one of the lowest maintenance people...others prolly think otherwise...It will be interesting to see how things turn out in their relationships....

Ok, better try to find all my crap. This "high maintenance princess" is signing off for the night ;)

Story time:
Once upon a time, 4 ladies decided to go on a trip to a land far far away. They packed their bags, loaded up their Chevy Tahoe and hit the road w/ much food and drink to last them a very long time. As they ascended the steep slopes of the Grapevine, they sang along to the tunes streaming from the iPod. They enjoyed the views, the chatting, the books, the sleeping when suddenly, all power in the Tahoe was lost. They slowly, cautiously made their way to the shoulder and came to stop before a call box. Smoke seemed to pour from beneath the hood. They scampered out of the Tahoe to pop the hood and call the CHP. CHP came rather quickly but instead of calming the ladies, warned them of rattle snakes and drove off. But soon, the tow truck came! The driver quickly loaded the Tahoe onto the back and the 4 ladies climbed into the cab of the truck. To their surprise, it was unbelievably clean and fresh smelling. 3 girls sat in the front and the last squished in the back. All 4 of them were squawking on their cell phones frantically calling friends and acquaintances to see who could lend a helping hand. After 45 minutes, the Tahoe came to rest at a cousin's friend's garage [get that?]. The prognosis of the Tahoe: blown head gasket, no compression, must stay in a small town till further notice. However, the ladies were determined to make it to Disneyland. A seminary student and his lovely wife came to the rescue of the stranded 4 ladies. They made it in time to see the evening fireworks. The following morning, 2 woke up early, headed to the airport, rented another car and they all finally made their way to Disneyland.

I must say, this weekend started w/ an adventure before we even hit Adventure Land. It was great for us to see some of our friends, but would've preferred to see them under different circumstances. Oh well. If you want to see some pictures, Val has some posted.

Nice get-away for the weekend. I miss Disneyland already.

Thank you Christine for keeping a level head and getting the car stuff together so we'd have a way to get home. Thanks Tomanda for being our heroes. =)
