oh my goodness. what a nite tuesday was. picked up Mere around 4:15 ish, hit the road and then hit traffic. we barely made it in time for the concert. got to our seats just as they announced Bethany Dillon. had some pretty good seats. 5th row, seats 1 & 2. but it was kind of at an angle w/ a pole slightly in the way, a camera man and 2 big guys. boooo. Bought some jeremy camp pics for him to sign later and just as we finished, we heard them start annoucing theAfters so we rushed back to our seats. OH MY. they are so awesome live! and they have a new member in the band! After their set, we went outside to see if they were wandering around like at spirit west coast. and they were! got to talk to Marc and Matt again and Matt remembered us! WHOOOOOOO!!! [no, we're not groupies...sheesh] We started getting some of their autographs on stuff but then Jeremy was starting and Matt said they had to go in to watch. So we all went back in. Jeremy has gotten better from the first time I saw him. That was a few years ago in Davis when he toured w/ Rebecca St. James and Newsboys. Now he's big time. Hahhahaa. Love his drummer, Leif. Whooooo Talked about his pain, his struggles w/ the death of his first wife, his new wife, his kid[s], etc. And then his wife came out to sing w/ him, that was beautiful. Just the 2 of them and a keyboard. After that, went out and stood in a line for autographs. Found out it was Jeremy's line. We weren't too far from the front so that was cool. After we got his autograph and his brother's, wife's, and bassist, we got Leif's and the keyboardist--they were just standing in the foyer and no one was really talking to them or getting their autographs. So we did, and took pictures w/ Leif Then off to find theAfters. We were 2nd to last in line. They are so down to earth and they dont just sign stuff and pass you along like alot of artists do. They talk to you, ask you what your name is, how you're doing, if you liked the show....and they take time to answer your questions too. So Josh remembered me too Since we were last like at Spirit West Coast, we got to talk to them longer and find out when they're coming back! yeaaaaaaa!!!!! Mere has a more detailed account of the evening, so go check her's out. Oh! and theAfters are nominated for an mtvU woodie award! Vote for them!!!!

Congratulations to Ryan and Alison. The church in Redwood City was beautiful. I loved the A-frame and all the stained glass. It was really pretty. And I liked instead of just the bride and groom praying during the ceremony, the entire bridal party surrounded them and prayed over them. I thot that was neat. =]
