*sigh* it's been a WHOLE week. i got a lil stir crazy...but other than that, i'm good...so ya'll wanna hear the details? lol, even if u don't, too bad. it's gettin posted. so, sunday, left home around 1. got the hospital around 1:15. got put into a room around 1:30. nurse said that even tho i'm scheduled for surgery around 3:30, it might be awhile cause a trauma accident just came in. she couldn't dialate my eyes or take my blood until a lil later; when it got closer to surgery time. so i basically sat in my hospital room and watched the ENTIRE 49er game except for the last 3 minutes of it. took my blood, asked a 4 page questionaire thingy and i was wheeled down to the OR. dr leong and dr ricco prepped me, got IV and then was out. dr leong said i was gonna be asleep just for the first part of it. he said i'd be awake, but numb to everything. i woek up and my whole face was covered except for my left eye. but i couldn't exactly see out of it. it was just really really bright. after awhile, i started to feel something...PAIN. i kinda asked, am i supposed to feel that? but they couldn't hear me cuz they were talkin...lol, about the musician they were listenin too...so i finally just said OW! dr leong said, oh! u're with us now? u felt that? i just said, yes! it hurts! "it does? ok, get me more local!" yeah u better get more local! i thot! cuz this thing hurts like heck! i could feel them pull and poke at my eye ball...ewwww!!!! i couldn't exactly grip anything cuz in my left hand, iv was hooked up. in my right, i had that pulse monitor and the blood pressure thingy. i could hear the heart monitor beep faster everytime the pain got a lil more intense. i jsut had to keep reminding myself to calm down. it still hurt, i guess the drugs just didn't kick in. so i suffered the last 20 min. when he finally said, ok! we're done! he patched my eye, i sat up and was wheeled back to my room. my eye didn't hurt, hurt...it was really sore. and they couldn't give me any drugs until i had eaten a meal, gone pee, and walked down the hall by myself. they saved me a meal...fried chicken. it wasn't bbbaaaaddd...just, well, it WAS hospital food. thnk goodness for auntie meadine...hahahahahhahahaaa...she brot me MAX'S!!!!! so i ate that. no problems w/ the eatin and walkin...just a problem w/ the peeing. if you know me, u know i HARDLY ever pee. i just never have too. i drank a water bottle and then this big ol pitcher of water and i still didn't have to pee. the nurse kept comin in and askin if i had to pee yet. i kept saying no. i even fell asleep for 45 minutes! after i woke up, i said i'd try. i finally go to go home. i think i got home around 9:45. RIGHT after i left hospital, jon & karen signed in for delivery! i just missed them! went home, took a vicoden and was out. i had to sleep up right. so for 4 days, i slept sitting up. do you know how incredibly uncomfortable that is? good lord! i think on wednesday or thursday, i was almost crying cuz all i wanted to do was sleep regulary! i couldn't do much either. i couldn't even read OR draw!! that killed me! it was easier to keep both eyes closed than to struggle to keep one open and one closed. even right now, i'm typing with both eyes closed, cuz it's straining. eesh!. so all last week, i just basically sat on my butt and listened to music. and yes james, my stereo got ROCKED. lol. since i couldn't watch movies, i just listened to cds or slept. cuz of the vicoden too, it made me sleepy. but ooooohhh! is that stuff good! no pain whatsoever! ;) i saw dr leong the day after surgery and he said everything is great. i took a look at my eye and it's BLOODY RED. it's sooooooo nasty! he said it's gonna be like that for 6-8 weeks! ewww! and it'll be sore and stuff for a lil bit. i don't even know when i'm gonna be able to drive!!!!! ahhhhhh!!!!!! i can't really move my head, so the big game was out. if i went, i wouldn't be able to jump up and down, cheer or do anything. just SIT there. of all the games to miss. eesh. AND i had to miss the newsboys/superchic[k] concert last nite. GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i went to church. i just had to get out of the house! lol, the skit was fun. [bachelor 1, 2, or 3?!hahahahhahahaa] i gotz check up appt. tomorrow and we'll see how everything's goin...THANK YOU to everyone who's called me, sent me a card, flowers, and prayed for me! i REALLLLLLYYYYYYYYY appreciate it! *MUAH!!*
