Please pray! It's official, my cousin Christina is patrolling the open waters. Pray for the ship's safety, etc. Wow, scary thought.

Been a busy week--which is good, because it gets my mind off of my eyeball. This may be the last month of "freedom" for me, so it's going to be a packed one. Have lots of stuff going on.

Last nite, helped the Hall's move and pack stuff. People didn't leave till 2 in the morning, I spent the nite. Someone gave Dai Dai soda and it kept him up for a really long time. Man that boy can talk when he's got sugar in him. At 7:30 this morning, I woke up to Gary moving more stuff. I stayed on the floor on the mattress till 8--felt badly about just letting him move all the stuff. So I rolled out and got moving. Both of us moved the rest of the office stuff out and their bed. That was interesting, sliding a mattress and the box springs down the stairs. Around 8:30 the guys came to start on the ceilings. Couldn't exactly go back to sleep, so I just stayed up till practice. Went in my jammies, too tired to change. Forgot that PLUGS were playing, so it was more relaxing. I'm so glad we have PLUGS--they're awesome. While they practiced, us old people played Apples to Apples. Funny game. Even funnier when Christy's playing with you. I still think "Exhausting" - "My Bedroom" is the funniest one. Stayed playing the game till around 1:15. Went back to the Hall's to see if anything else needed to be done. Dai Dai was about falling off the futon from sleep deprivation, but he refused to go to sleep. He insisted on staying up and watching TV. Funny kid. It's cute to see him grow up, talk so much, and everything, but I miss the "baby-ness."

Headed home to watch 3 sporting events =D Giants, As, and Cal. It was an ok day in the sporting world. Poor Zito, if Macha wasn't stupid and let him stay in longer, the bullpen wouldn't have given it up for him and the As wouldn't have lost. Same goes for Giants. Stupid, stupid, stupid. But yeaaaaa for CAL! Roll on you BEARS! Whoooped on OSU 49 - 7. That's my Aaron! Even tho he got a beating. Would've been higher if they called some penalities, like the pass interference that would've given Chase Lyman a touchdown. Stupid refs. So yup, 3 - 0! Can't wait for the University of Spoiled Children game. Will definitely be a good one. Hopefully wont' go into 3 OTs like last time.

Went out to dinner w/ Byron and Christine at Le Bistro in Walnut Creek. It's a pretty cute restaurant. I love going to that area of Walnut Creek and trying all the great restaurants. Too bad we didn't have such a good experience tonite. Drinks were good, company was awesome, food was ok, service was sucky, coffee was ok. So I heard from a frame rep that this new French restaurant is pretty good. I read about it on Open Table and thought, sure, why not, I'll call up my foodies and have a nite out. It took me over an hour to get to Walnut Creek-accident on 880 and stupid drivers. I was 15 minutes late. I sit down w/ them and the guys asks me my drink order, I order the same as Christine, peach wine (kinda syrupy, really sweet, but nice peachy flavor). Our dinner order doesn't get taken till about 10 minutes later. And when he comes to take our order, he just looks at me and raises his eyebrows. No, "Are you ready to order? What can I get you?" Red flag goes up...it takes about 20 minutes for our food to get to our table. Byron ordered a cheese board and the Bouillabase. Christine orders the Bouillabase and I order a roast duck breast salad and a roasted brie cheese appetizer. The cheeseboard wasn't worth the $18 and my brie was soaked in a burgundy sauce that overpowered the brie taste. I loved my salad though. When he came to refill my water, he reaches across Christine, just inches from her nose and pours, doesn't ask if i would like more and doesn't refill Christine who clearly needs more. Clears our dishes and brings dessert menus. When he leaves Byron asks what we thought of the food, service and ambiance. He sort of noticed that everyone else got served before us. Christine and I noticed that too, and that no one came to see how we were doing during the meal. Discrimination? Who knows, we were the only Asians in the restaurant...We decided that we'd skip out on the dessert there, and go to a cafe down the street. Left the restaurant disappointed and headed for coffee. Surprisingly, the cafe stays open till around 1 and it was crowded! Got a table and sipped coffee and water. Next thing we know, it's 11:30. I love getting together w/ Christine and Byron and going out to dinner. Even when/if the foods not all the great, we have a good time catching up and talking about anything and everything. At least the drinks and conversations have always been good. Hahahahahaha! And I love that I can go out w/ them and try different kinds of restaurants and stuff. So, so much for that restaurant. We'll get to a good restaurant one of these days. Hmmmm...Boulevard next?? That's always great.

So this coming week, painting at the Hall's, school, work, Switchfoot!, Food & Wine fest @ Embarcadero, Steph's party...Fun, fun. But I guess I should really start thinking about slowing down again. Don't know what's going to happen between now and the 25th @ my doctor's appt. I'm not ready to go thru surgery again or be flat on my back for that matter. I would like to make it to the Big Game, and the ski season this year. ::sigh::
